Who I am…

My favorite creative outlet is writing. I have written in many different genres in the past including research, short stories, fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and many more. My favorite genre to write in is poetry and research. I have written many poems that have similar themes revolving around Christianity and theological concepts.

The research I have written in the past includes my presentation that I conducted at the 2023 National Conference of Undergraduate Research in Eau Claire Wisconsin, “A Critical Exploration of the Impact of Grief and Loss on the Experiences of First-Year College Students.”

In addition to this research, I have also conducted research for a passion project in which I studied the effects that Dystopian Literature has on young adults. I have posted my research in the form of a video diary and in the form of an essay.

As an intern at a local church, my job is to handle the communications and logistics of the college ministry. I have gained experience in copyediting communications, handling logistics and important details of large events, and creative design through coordinating the look and feel of the meeting dates.

My plan for after I graduate college is to obtain my Master’s degree in Biblical and Theological Studies in a residency seminary program through the North Point Residency Experience and Wheaton College. I would eventually like to work full time in vocational ministry.

My heart and true passion can be found when I am serving somewhere. I enjoy volunteering on Sundays at my local church for their production team and serving a high school girl’s small group during the youth service. Every other week I also have the opportunity to lead a Bible study with other women that I call “At the Well",” and it has truly been such a privilege. Seeing other people happy makes me happy.

A few fun facts about me would be that if I was not pursuing a career in ministry I would be selling homemade pastries somewhere in Colorado, I have a really fat cat, and my favorite book is The Road by Cormac McCarthy.
